Brushing it off Jennifer began her search anew for her sock as she knew the bus would be here shortly.
It didn’t take her that long until she found her sock it was in her basement in the laundry area, as she propped herself up on the metal table Martha normally used to fold all the laundry on and put the sock on her foot, she began looking around as she slowly slid it on her foot. She normally hated this place the floor was hard concrete and the walls that weren’t used for storage were brick. There were a couple windows that got a scarce amount of light because of how low they were on the outsides of the house. And the lights that were down here weren’t all that bright giving the basement a dark cold feel to it.
As she looked around she remembered when she was a little girl her dad and uncle played a joke on her and asked her to go get something from the basement little did she know her uncle hid under the stairs and as she grabbed the thing her dad asked for her uncle jumped out and chased her all around the basement. She had nightmares for a few weeks and has hated coming down here ever since.
But as she looked around there was something she couldn’t quite place but she hated it less would be a good way on describing it, it just seemed to have…. Potential for something.
Suddenly she heard a honking and realized her bus was here and quickly rushed back up stairs and grabbed her shoes and bag and ran to the bus.
