Paul looked at the protrusion sticking out of the boy in front him. It was furry, orange, striped, and over a foot and a half long. While it swished in various directions, it seemed to be growing larger! The tail brushed Paul's leg again, and the boy squirmed a little.
In relatively disbelief, Paul reached down and picked up the tail to have a closer look at it. It was undeniably real--the muscles in the tail stiffened up in Paul's grasp, as the startled boy jumped and turned around. (He must not have recognized the sensation.) His eyes widened when he saw Paul holding his new appendage. They locked eyes, then the boy reached out a hand and yanked his tail out of Paul's grasp. He held the thing in his lap and examined it, hunched over and blushing.
They started down a steeper hill. The boy had to let go of his tiger tail and hold the handlebars while everyone screamed. Paul screamed too, and felt an itchy feeling in his own arms: they were growing fur!
