This time, Aaron had spoken clearly, and Mike finally heard and understood. "Yuuh.. you're turn me inuh orse?" Words were very hard to pronounce, now.
Both of the stable boys laughed. "Yeah. Took you long enough to figure it out."
Another voice startled all three. "Now, that's not a nice thing to do to a guest." It was Tye. But he sounded amused, not angry. "Then again, this guest seems pretty intent on losing his arms and gaining a plow."
The boys frowned, and Liam stepped forward. "This is a restricted area. Only employees and animals here."
Tye chuckled. "Which are you? Oh, sorry. I should be able to recognize a goat when I see one."
Liam started to say something back, but his words came out as a bleat. Then his entire body rippled as he fell forward, shaggy fur and horns pressing out as he turned into a large buck goat. The animal bleated again in fear and scrambled to the back corner of the stall.
Aaron's eyes widened. "A wizard?! We didn't intend to offend you! This centaur came in and asked for magic. I mean, well, you know how it is. We're supposed to turn turnt hem into horses."
Tye looked at Mike and grinned. "He's pretty useless like that. Tell you what, if you can finish him up, I'l leave you human. And if he accepts it willingly, I'll even turn your buddy back. Otherwise, I'll leave here with a centaur and your stable can find a home for a buck and a nanny."
