Seeing as the forest is usually full of wolves, bears, and other dangerous creatures, Shawn heads left along the road into the plains. After what feels like an eternity of walking, Shawn collapses in the middle of the road and falls asleep.
When she wakes up, Shawn hears yelling. It doesn't sound too far off, so Shawn sits up immediately to see what's wrong. A tribe of Indians, feathered headbands and all, are running away from a huge lion that's chasing after them. Shawn lays back down, hoping neither the Indians or the lion saw her, and begins crawling on her stomach. By the time the yelling quiets down, Shawn is too afraid to see if the lion ate them or if they just got far enough away that she can't hear them. Either way, it wasted a lot of her time to have to crawl instead of walk. On top of that, she hasn't had a drink for at least a day now. She pulls out her map to see if there's water nearby, but it's one of those maps that fills in as you explore areas. In other words, Shawn has no idea whether or not there's water here at all. Standing back up, Shawn starts jogging down the road, ignoring her thirst so she can make up for lost time. After a lot of jogging and a lot of regretting not taking a canteen from the ogre's castle, Shawn finds a little village of tepees. It seems strangely empty, so Shawn runs in and starts looking for water. She finds some, and loads her backpack with food and water. She also finds a bead necklace with a wooden charm on it. The charm is a circle with a paw print symbol on it. It looks rare, but should Shawn equip it or try to sell it later?
