A Bun...or Two or Three or Four...in the Oven

Sara quickly grabbed the dice from the box, eager to begin this game. Even though she thought it was pretty childish, her competitive nature made her want to win at just about anything. And the sooner they got going, the sooner it would be over. She rolled the dice, frowning when only a two showed up. She was about to move her token, when to her shock and surprise, it started to move on its own.

Hesitating, she took a card from the pile and looked at it. Just as quickly as her hesitation had appeared, she found it disappating. "What the fuck does this mean?" she asked, showing her card to the group. On it was a picture of a baby and an hourglass. Underneath the baby was the number 3, and underneath the hourglass was the phrase 6 months. Sara was about to toss the card away when she felt a strange tingling sensation in her abdomen. "What the...GAH!" She lurched forward as her insides shot with pain, sharp tearing sensations rippling through her gut. She screamed again and grabbed the edge of the couch to try and brace the pain. Her eyes forced shut, she couldn't witness the transformation going on in her lower extremities. The other gathered guests merely watched awestruck and terrified as Sara's tout, athletic abdomen began to swell larger and larger. Within minutes Sara's shirt had been ripped to shreds from her growing belly, and when it was finished she was six months pregnant with triplets.

"The fuck...no...no this can't be happening. Somebody do something!" Sara frantically yelled as she realized what had happened.

"The game of change," Charlie said aloud, almost to himself. He remembered that the winner was supposed to get a wish at the end. "We have to finish the game," Charlie announced, "Then we can wish everything back to normal."

"But...I can't go on with this" Sara said, crying. Her new hormones starting to flood her bloodstream. "I...I don't want to be a mom."

"You won't be," Monica chimed in, "When we finish the game, we'll just wish everything is the way it used to be." Sara nodded, tears still leaking from her eyes, and she slowly sat back up to continue playing.

"I guess it's my turn," Robert said, picking up the dice and rolling a four. As his token moved, he picked up a card, and read...
