His feet grow
Max finished with the medallion and decided to relax and watch some TV.
During one of the commercials he got up to get some socks for his cold feet. Returning to the couch with one of his normal pair of socks Max proceeded to put them on.
"Must have shrank in the wash," he said as he pulled the socks over his feet. The top of the sock barely made it over his heel and up to his ankle.
"Ahh well, I'll buy more tomorrow."
Every few minutes Max felt like there was something in his socks but just ignored it.
Eventually the heels of his feet started to get cold again, he lifted his foot up to look for holes in the sock to find that the sock now only covered the arch of his foot.
Max removed the sock, it still looked like its normal size. He looked back at his foot which just seemed... bigger, although he couldn't be sure.
Max went and found one of his shoes he has been wearing earlier and placed it against the bottom of his foot.
"Holy shit!" His foot now extended a few inches past the tips, there is no way those shoes would fit now.
Max just looked at his feet for a while in awe and swore he had just seen them grow a little.
Over the next half hour he watches his foot lengthen a little more every few minutes. When the growth had finally stopped Max decided to test something. He went and found the large socks he had bought earlier that days and slipped them on. They now fit his feet perfectly which he was guessing was at least a size 15, maybe more!
Putting 2 and 2 together Max decided that the medallion must have had something to do with his new feet.
