'How about this?' You ask as you hold up a pen you see on the shelf. It was set atop a special rack that looked as if it had once been dipped in gold but time had since flecked it away. The pen itself felt rather heavy, with marking etched the odd metal that it was composed of. You figure it would make a great addition to your desk.
'Ummm.' Amy bent down and lifted out a heavy tome. Bound with two clasps, she went digging through faded pages for a moment while you tried to not catch a glimpse down her cleavage. You had only a moment to pull back when she looked up at you. 'Ten bucks?' Amy did not sound sure.
'Sounds fine.' You would have probably paid more but you did not know why.
As you dug through your pockets for the money, you thought to ask, 'So is there anything special about the pen?'
She seemed well equipped to answer, going back to the book before she replied, 'Well it's a magical pen, of course. You write something on a slip of paper, insert it into the slot on the base and it comes true. Within reason of course.'
'Oh,' you look back at the shelf, 'so I need to buy the base too?' She smiled at the thought of another sale.
'Yep. Of course, it's extra. It'll be thirty total.' Amy held out her hand. You pile the money, and some change, into her palm.
'Thanks.' You say, gathering both into your hands.
'Mhmmm.' She merrily puts the money into a box behind the counter, already done with you.
'Have any paper I can test it out on?' You just want to talk to her more but you think you're hiding it well.
'Uhhhh,' she looked around her space, 'you can use one of her business cards here, I guess.' She handed you over a stack of them. You set the holder down, think for a moment, then scribble something down quick. Amy tries not to look but her curious eye could be caught glancing. Before she could read it, though, you fold it over and, after finding the slot in the base, pop the message in.
'Well?' She asked, expectantly.
