The Andersons arrived in Tokyo, Japan, at The Loli-Kawii Hotel. This hotel was full of people who looked like they came from an anime con.
The receptionist looked like a young anime girl. Her body proportions, even her eyes, looked like anime.
John thought she was either wearing very good makeup, or a very good costume, but a part of Derrick hoped she was real.
They came to the desk, and she greeted them.
"Welcome to our humble hotel." she said in perfect english, smiling warmly "My name is Fukomi, how may I serve you and your family?"
"We'd like 3 rooms," John replied "one for my son Derrick, one for my daughter Julie, and one for me to share with my wife."
"Certainly." Fukomi said, as she accepted the money, and gave them their room-keys.
"Do all the staff speak English?" Sharon asked.
"Of course." Fukomi replied, smiling "In fact, we know every language. People from all over the world come to stay here, so it's necessary. It's
no problem, really. We even know the language of animals." at this, she giggled softly. Sharon thought she was joking.
"You look so real." Derrick said "It's like you're a real anime person." "Thanks." Fukomi said, smiling and blushing at Derrick's comment "That's
the idea. We know how popular it is, that's why we all look like this."
"How can you breath through that thin, pointy nose?" Julie asked. "Hee-hee. The same way you can breath through yours, young miss." Fukomi
replied, obviously amused by her question.
"I've never understood anime." John said "I'm not sure I like it so much."
"Don't worry." Fukomi told him "This place has a way of 'changing' you. Hee-hee! If you need anything, just use the phone in your room. We'll
be happy to serve you however we can."
So they left, and when they were out of sight, Fukomi turned around and quickly drew 4 images on 4 sheets of paper.
The first one was a shonen elven warrior, in a suit of armor with a sword, shield, and long, blue hair to match his blue eyes.
She wrote down the following stats:
Name: John
Age: 25
Personality: A loving and kind husband and father who loves adventure, and protects his family.
The second was a shojo cat-girl, with tan skin, pink, wild hair going into giant ponytails reaching down to her waist, pink eyes with slit pupils,
wearing a top, and a skirt, leaving her midsection exposed.
She wrote down the following stats:
Name: Sharon
Age: 22
Personality: A mother who cares for her children, flirts with her husband frequently, and wants to have fun with her family. She is always willing
to listen to them.
The third was a wild-looking boy, wearing a striped loin-cloth, having long, pointy ears, flesh-colored horns poking out of his long, spiky
green hair, red irises, and a long tail with a green tuft at the end. He wore a necklace of sharp animal teeth.
She wrote down the following stats:
Name: Derrick
Age: 5
Personality: A wild boy who loves jumping, running, and going on adventures with his father. He loves to eat beetles, worms, spiders, slugs,
snails, and anything his mother cooks for him. He loves his father, and wants to be just like him, he loves his mother and snuggles up to her
chest when he can, and he loves his sister - he'll protect her no matter what.
The forth was a cute fairy girl with huge butterfly wings, long, pointy ears, a flower dress, blue skin, green hair flowing upward like a flower,
and pink irises.
She wrote down the following stats:
Name: Julie
Age: 4
Personality: A bubbly fairy girl who likes to have fun and play jokes - especially on her brother, but she still loves him. She loves her mother,
and helping her in the kitchen, and she loves her father - she thinks he's very cool.
Fukomi wrote the respective room numbers on each, and just as she finished, a small humanoid moogle in a bellhop uniform flew up to her.
"Satori." she smiled "Perfect timing as always. Slip these under their doors, if you please."
"Of course, Fukomi." Satori replied smiling "Anything for my girlfriend, kuppo. Are you sure about doing this to them?"
"I don't remember YOU uttering a word of complaint when I transformed YOU like this, and now you get to spend all your time working with the
one you love."
"True," he replied "but still, won't they be shocked, kuppo?"
"Only for a few seconds before their new personalities kick in." she replied "Besides, it's not like they'll forget anything. They'll still be
themselves - only much more fun!"
"Fun for WHO, I wonder?" he said half-smiling as he picked up the pictures and delivered them, sliding each one under the right door.
While they all got their pictures of their soon-to-be new selves, Fukomi sat at her desk eagerly awaiting her next costumer.
