Now Jack Charles had been caught in a landmine explosion in 2006 Afghanistan that had blown off a hand and a left
leg and left him severely physically disabled but mentally alert.He'd taken a military desk job to supplement his disability pension.
He'd expected that in a decade or two they'd have built serviceable artificial limbs like in those

Well by 2026 they hadn't,but the first reliable cryo-storage units were available.
So Jack Charles decided to go cryo,and see if the future had something to offer him.
So in he went,the aliens attacked the Canadian-Russian Deep Space Ojibwa Tnngtuk spacecraft
in 2033 and people kinda forgot about Jack Charles for several decades.
He'd been revived in 2137 and had come out not a day older than the 45 he'd been when he went in,and they still hadn't
built a workable cyborb arm and leg in the century or so he'd been under.
They did have organic limbs however,based on the aliens research on the ability of reptiles ability to regrow a limb.
So he'd stared at the scaly living hand-paw and leg they showed him and wanted to graft to his 2 stumps.
He didn't want to wait ANOTHER century.
So he'd consented and now wore a glove and a artificial human skin over his two new reptillian appendages.
He was in the Relay Centre,chewing tobacco,listening as the 22century Russian gangster
explained his plan.
They'd use a network of computers to process the now lost Kary's mind engrams.
To create a 'cyber mind" for a Kary who was 7 years behind the times.
Then they'd link that computer mind to the reptile-insect dragon's brain,and go clobbering
out of control upstart robots.
