It was the beginning of Spring in a small town in the Midwest. A small farm laid alone in the middle of
nowhere, emanating nothing but an air of sadness, despair and confusion.
The owner of the farm, Jefferey Adams, had just recently passed away. Car accident, died along with his wife,
Eliza. This left the farm in the hands of their children. They were afraid, they had no idea how to manage the
farm. Their father had done everything for them, they merely helped when asked to. Of them, only one of them
was old enough to legally own the farm, and had some friends that helped take care of the farm for the next
couple of days.
It was a week later when a man knocked on the door. He wore a white suit with his sleeves rolled back. The
oldest one let him in while the youngest stood in the back, with the others working outside. As the man
entered, he proclaimed with the highest confidence a man could muster:
"Good day to you, heir of the good old farmer Adams! I do offer my sincerest apologies for the recent tragedy
that has fallen upon your family, but we need to move past that and look to your future with this farm. I
understand that it will be a tad difficult for you all to manage a farm of this caliber all by yourself, so I
offer a proposition for you all. I am a representative for the fairly large and well-respected company,
"EcoSync". Our mission statement is to help link humanity with nature and to make life easier for all.
Recently, we've developed a new method to help improve the state of agricultural development."
He talked in a quick manner. When he finished his last statement he pulled out a pen and contract.
"And who better for a first customer than your family? We've tested in the laboratories for years, and now all
we need is field research. The laboratories yielded exceedingly positive results, and we have no farming
experience, so we're sure that you all with even your small experience will yield even more impressive
results? This will be absolutely free of charge, by the way, as I am no doubt aware that you don't want to
worry about money at this time."
The siblings gazed at each other once. They then faced the man in the suit and nodded. He began writing on the
contract.
"Before we begin, I need details on the participants. How many of you are there, age, genders, and so on?"
