Ty's Power

Evelyn

added 12 years ago BM

"I'm gonna go for a walk, anyone else with me?" Ty asked his friends

"I think I'm gonna stay here and tan," Nate said.

"I'm gonna swim," Dustin said.

"Yeah, I think I'm gonna join ya Dust," Ashton added. "Sorry Ty."

"That's fine, see you guys in a bit."

With that Ty jogged off down the beach, his muscular legs easily carrying him over the sand. The beach was crowded, but Ty occasionally saw girls staring at him then whispering to their friends. It felt good to be good-looking, but he was definitely sure to make sure he didn't let it go to his head.

At one point he saw a bunch of boys of about eight hanging out together in the water, and in the blink of an eye they all possessed muscular bodies like those of a gymnast. He'd made it so nobody would notice, but it was amazing to see the toned biceps and solid pecs on such young bodies. But he liked it. He proceeded to buff up a few other groups of kids as he walked.

Then he saw a girl of about his age, fifteen, with short, frizzy brown hair, glasses, and wearing a rather conservative one-piece bathing suit. She was a little pale, and not particularly curvy or busty, in fact she seemed to barely have an A-cup, and a quick skim of her mind confirmed that she was self-conscious about her body. But it wasn't her looks that Ty cared about, it was that she was sitting under her umbrella reading a collected of Superman comics, volume 1.

Ty was a comic geek, it wasn't something he flaunted much, but he was. And a girl who read comics, especially a whole compilation volume, was like a dream come true. So he walked over to her, actually feeling nervous, cleared his throat, and said "Uh, hey," immediately wishing he could back out.

"Huh?" the girl muttered, turning red when she looked up and saw the buff jock in front of her. "O-oh uh h-hi," she stuttered.

"I saw you're reading The Superman Chronicles: Volume One, and I was wondering; aren't you worried about dropping it in the sand or it getting wet?" he asked, "I can barely bring myself to take one of my comics out of my room."

"You read comics?" the girl asked, looking Ty up and down.

"Of course. I prefer Batman or the Hulk, but Superman's awesome too," he replied, "The Death of Superman arc is one the best in the history of the series. I know that's modern age and you're reading Golden Age, but... I'm Ty by the way," he added, holding out his hand.

"Evelyn," the girl replied, shaking his hand, "You can sit down if you want."

"Thanks," he replied, sitting down.

They launched into a discussion about Superman and Batman, Marvel and DC, and so on, and every moment Ty could see Evelyn drinking him in, like the idea of jock like him being interested in comics was too much to believe. Ty had to agree that if situations were reversed he'd probably feel the same. Knowing she was looking he would occasionally slightly flex one of his muscles. And while they talked he could add muscle to kids he saw.

Eventually they began talking more about themselves. It turned out Evelyn had walked here, living rather close. "Hey, would you like to come hang out with us?" Ty asked.

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, come on, we're just down the shore."

He picked up her umbrella for her and the two walked up the beach to where Ty and his friends were. Ty saw, though, that the spot was not occupied currently, but by the time he'd finished setting up Evelyn's spot and started talking again, Nate and Dustin appeared. "Hey Ty, who's this?" Nate asked.

"Oh, hey guys! This is Evelyn, I just met her. Evelyn, these are Dustin and Nate. Dustin's my step-brother and Nate's my best friend's little brother."

"N-nice to meet you two," Evelyn said, blushing again.

Soon all of them were talking, Evelyn seeming to fit right in seamlessly. The next hour and a half seemed to fly by, between swimming, talking, and burying Dustin in the sand. And all too soon it seemed it was time for them to all get going. "Say Evelyn," Ty said as they finished packing up, "Would you like to... you know, go out sometime?"

"What!? Me?"

"Yeah, you're pretty cool, I think it'd be fun. I heard Shive's Comics got an authentic Arkham City Batsuit replica, and there's an awesome Chinese food place nearby."

"Sure!" Evelyn cried, "I'm free tonight actually."

"Sweet! I'll see you in a bit then?"

"Yep," she replied, and after exchanging phone numbers she began walking towards home, while Ty teleported himself and his friends home.
