Bob put on his clothes over Erick and his shoes over Carter and Ryan, then he looked up Vinnie in the phone book and went over to his house. Vinnie himself opened the door. Bob was struck by how geeky he was, but he knew that Vinnie also had great power. Still, he wasn't scared... he had never even met the older boy before, and had never done anything to deserve his wrath. "Uh, can you help me?" he began. As Bob told his story, Vinnie started to smile.
"How interesting! I only tried to shrink Carter and Ryan, and they end up as socks! And it was contagious, too? It seems like there is a bit of matter instability associated with the spell. I should have been more careful."
"That's OK," Bob said. "I like them like this. I was wondering if you could just fix the matter instability, or whatever, so I can keep them without transforming myself? I'd really appreciate it."
"Yeah, I don't think so," said Vinnie with a smile. "I can tell your matter is already unstable."
"What?!?!" Bob was horrified. He turned to run away.
"Not so fast," said Vinnie. "I need a, uh, pencil." He said the first thing he thought of. Immediately, Bob's body shrank out of his clothes and dramatically narrowed. Vinnie fished around and picked up the sharp no. 2 pencil with a miserable-looking face in the wood grain. Vinnie picked up the jock strap and the socks and took all of the transformed teens back into his bedroom. He put them on the bed, where a pair of women's panties were already waiting. It was Horst.
"Well, here's the deal, boys," said Vinnie, towering over them. I could keep you all like this, but I don't even need any of you. I have enough socks, and I never use a pencil. The jock strap is tempting, though."
A ripple ran through the inanimate boys, and they hoped they'd be transformed back.
"I think I'll recast my original spell, and you can all join Carter and Ryan," continued Vinnie. "And this time, I'll stabilize the molecules."
Within a moment, Ryan, Carter, Horst, Erick, and Bob all looked like their original selves again... only none was more than 12 inches tall.
"Hmmm, that's something!" Vinnie grinned as the tiny, naked boys all started yelling up at him. "But now what do I do with you?"
