“Jim?” you said to the werewolf, “Is that you?”
The werewolf just stared at you for a minute with its shining green eyes before letting out a sigh. “I’m sorry
you had to see me like this Jen.”
“Oh my god,” you say as you look at the beast that is your ex-boyfriend. Since 6th grade, you and Jim were
best friends, hanging out together, growing close, etc. By the beginning of freshman year, you two had their
first date, and a second, and even a third. Unfortunately, a few nights ago, Jim told you that he couldn’t see
you anymore, and left you with a broken heart.
“Now you know why we can’t be together,” Jim said.
“How is this possible?” you asked, “Why are you this… this… this werewolf?”
“I know it’s hard to believe,” Jim explained, “but I was born this way. You see, my mom was a werewolf too,
and when she dated my dad and found out they were madly in love and her and… well you get the idea. After our
last date I found out about it, and the rest you can figure out. I’m so sorry I didn’t tell you Jen. I just
hope you can forgive me.”
As Jim began to walk away, you notice that as Jim walked into the moonlight he looked nothing like in the
horror movies you saw. In fact, he looked a little cute for someone who was part wolf. You immediately realize
that Jim avoided you all this time to protect you, to keep you safe, because she cared about you. You
immediately ran towards him and took his hand.
“Jim please,” you cried, “I don’t care that you’re a werewolf. You’re my boyfriend no matter what.”
“You really mean that Jenny?” Jim asked.
“Of course,” Jen said, “I’ve always been a fan of the canine family anyway.”
With that said, you and Jim approached each other, and embraced each other with a kiss, and fell in love all
over again.
Afterwards, you said your goodbyes to your boyfriend, and went on to the party, and much later, to home.
