Guiles waited until his class was seated and the bell rang. Then he began class.
"Today, we're going to discuss artistic license. Most of you probably recall the Simpsons episode where Mr.
Burns' portrait is painted. Artistic license is where you are painting your subject, but you change the image
from its realistic appearance to make a point. You might add muscles to Mr. Burns, or hair or make him even
frailer than he is. So today, we're going to select partners, and paint our partners with artistic license."
The students paired up, but there was an odd number in the class, so Mr. Guiles ended up pairing up with a
student. He opened his new box of paints, and prepared to paint.
