Mike woke in the middle of the night. He was so itchy. He kept trying to turn his head to one side or the
other, but he couldn't. He got up shuddering. His hairy body was coated with sweat. Hairy body? He had
always been embarrassed by how little body hair he had. Now his chest and arms were covered with it. He peeled
off his clothing to inspect his now totally hairy physique. His stomach rumbled. He was hungry. He headed
toward the lake. Maybe those plants were edible, they sure smelled good. He plowed into the cold water and
started eating the weedy freshwater plants. They filled a void in him. He barely noticed the cold water. He
chewed and ate and chewed. He felt himself growing stronger, and more massive.
"Hey!" shouted a voice from the lake shore.
Mike turned his head, and got hung up in a branch about a foot away. He struggled to pull free and discovered
he was growing antlers. He looked at the furry person on the shore.
"Are you human or animal?" shouted the squirrel man.
"I could ask you the same thing!" you shout back wading out of the lake.
As you look down you see that your body is covered with water resistant hair, and your feet are now hooves.
"My name's Rocky," said the petite squirrel man as Mike towered over him with water dripping from his furry
body.
"I'm not Bullwinkle," was Mike's terse reply, "I'm Mike."
"Rocky and Bullwinkle?" said the squirrel man scratching his head, "It has a familiar ring, but my name really
is Rocky. Dad was a big Sly Stallone fan, and well, I got named Rocky."
"Oh, sorry."
"So what's happening to us?"
