Amy did a quick read-through of the spell book, and was intrigued by
what she saw, including the history of magic from its discovery, to
Merlin, to Houdini, to today. She also saw many spells that she would
like to try out. Wanting the book, whether it was real or not, she
quickly took it to the register.
“Oh,” the old man at the counter said, intrigued. “I’ve been trying to
sell one of those for a long time. I never thought anyone would be
interested in this stuff anymore.”
“That’s with most people,” Amy commented, “When I took a quick look, I
was amazed at the stuff I’ve seen so far.”
“I appreciate that comment young lady,” the old man said.
After that, Amy bought the book, and met up with Lina at the entrance.
“Is buying a book here necessary, Amy?” Lina asked. “You could just do
that at a book store you know.”
“You never know,” Amy replied, leaving the conversation at that.
After reaching their neighborhood, Amy went to her home on her own.
Her parents were away for the week so she had the house to herself.
After quickly finishing her homework, she rushed to her new spell
book, and wanted to try out a spell. The only question was, what spell
should she try first?
