I felt a tickling feeling under my pants above my butt so I took them off. I was amazed to find a two-inch bump there where my tailbone was apparently sticking out. "What's this?" I thought as I started fingering it. What else would you do if you noticed a bump sticking out of your rear? Fingering it sent a tingle up my spine, and the bump started twitching! Then pain shot up my spine causing me to stop, bend over and start screaming at the top of my lungs. It felt like I was giving birth to my backbone!
Finally the pain subsided, and I built up the courage to look back there between my legs. It looked like a snake or something was hanging down under my butt! I could see the outline of a foot-long column of thin vertebrae under the skin. It was like I had grown a rat's tail or something.
"I can't believe it," I thought. "I just grew a TAIL! Like an animal or something."
I reached between my legs and grabbed the thing. I held it up in front of my face for closer examination, basically trying to convince myself it *wasn't* real. But it was! Another tingle up my spine, and I could feel my hand stroking across my new verterbrae. "Amazing," I thought. Then I got a weird pins-and-needles feeling in the tail, and it started twitching around, startling me. I could feel the spasms as new muscles violently came online! My tail jumped out of my hand as I watched. Can you imagine seeing and FEELING a skinny tail flopping around between your legs?!
Finally I gained enough control over my muscles that I could stop the spasms and hold my tail straight down.
"Muscles. I can CONTROL this thing. It's MINE."
Gaining confidence, I played with the muscles a bit more and caused my tail to arch up. I straightened it out again, then I relaxed it and let it swing down behind me. I even swayed it from side to side on purpose.
"What am I going to do with this thing?" I wondered. I considered having it cut off, but the thought of that made me cringe, like I'd be mutilating my body. MY BODY! It was amazing how I'd only had this tail a few minutes and already it felt like a part of me.
It turns out the change wasn't over yet, though. I felt a tingling in my TAIL and saw hairs growing out of it. As more of them grew in, I started to recognize what kind of tail it was!
