The police knocked on Rico's door as part of their search for the missing garbage men. Aaron opened the door,
Rico was at the Chronivac making some final adjustments to the pizza boy Skylander he had just created. He
didn't want to draw too much attention, by having people disappearing from his neighborhood or by his
apartment, but he needed new Skylanders, and he discovered that the Chronivac could work at a distance once
the subject had been scanned up close. He hooked the Chronivac up to Google Earth.
Sal the pizza boy had delivered a pizza across the hall last night, and Rico had Aaron stop him to get a menu.
While Sal stood there in his tight t-shirt and jeans, Rico scanned him into the Chronivac. Sal mentioned that
he was going out of town for his great aunt's funeral tomorrow.
On the Chronivac Google Map he tracked the P-pin (P for pizza boy)as it moved along a railroad track. Sal
vanished from the rail car as it rattled across a bridge 150 miles from Rico and Aaron. It was at this point
that the police knocked on the door. Rico automatically scanned the two officers at the door. Tommy was a 25
year old buff short rookie (5'4" according to the Chronivac, but he looked taller in the door -probably
lifts). Alex was a big older guy (6'0 and 253 lbs, he was the stereotypical donut eating policeman).
They explained they were doing a door to door canvas regarding the missing garbage men.
"I din't see nothing," Rico said playing up an accent he didn't have.
"Well, what did you hear?" asked Alex.
Rico pursed his lips to avoid smiling, Alex was clever.
He said, "Well, I heared a lot of banging of trash cans, and then it stopped. So I went back to bed."
"Do you recall the time you heard the commotion?"
"I dunno, I don't wear a watch in bed."
"Did you hear anything else? A radio program, the tv, a car alarm, gunfire?"
"Nah, sorry," Rico said with a shrug.
"Thank you, if you think of anything here is my card. Call me. Have a good day," Alex said and the two
officers went to the next door.
"That Tommy was kinda cure but I suppose we shouldn't?" Aaron asked dreamily.
"No worries, hermano, the pizzaboy worked without a hitch. We can track the flat foots until they're nowhere
near here and make us a couple of new skylanders."
"Cool. Uh, you wanna take a break, I think your box spring needs another workout," said Aaron slyly.
Rico was a bit tired, but he'd never say it out loud. He trundled off to bed to play with his love toy Aaron.
It was around midnight, when Rico got up to piss. He noticed he left the Chronivac on, so he sat down to
check it.
There were two separate pins on the map. He clicked on the one marked Alex, and grinned. The guy was out in
the suburbs a good 20 miles away. He then clicked on the street view to see whether he was in a house or
apartment. He got a surprise. The Chronivac's real time feature enhanced the view capability of the map. He
was looking in on Alex's bedroom. Alex was in bed with his wife watching the Tonight Show. There even was
audio. There was a noise, Alex shouted, and his 20 year old son apologized for getting in so late. He claimed
he'd been at the library and lost track of time. He was tall and fat like his father, but had Rico salivating
was that the Chronivac was able to scan the young man using his already scanned father to relay the scanning
signal. After saving and creating a pin for Carl, Alex's son, Rico turned his attention to Tommy.
The image that appeared on the screen for the "street view" made Rico's jaw drop. Apparently, Tommy was on a
policeman's baseball team or maybe it was softball. Anyway, as Rico listened he figured out that they got
together 3 nights a week to work out together. The naked buff officers were all sitting in the Police
Officer's Gym Sauna as Rico eagerly scanned another man. He would be able to fill the next two months
inventory. He was tempted to collect them all at once. It would make a sensational headline, over 30
officers vanished from inside police headquarters. But he restrained himself for the moment.
Tommy ducked into a toilet stall, and Rico began the young man's conversion into a shiny blue and gold
skylander for Aaron. After all he had promised.
Aaron was making breakfast when Rico got up. He handed Rico the newspaper. The headline blared, "Rookie Cop
Vanishes From Police HQ". It went on to say that 30 officers were under suspicion.
"You wouldn't know anything ab-?" Aaron started to say.
"Happy Birthday!" Rico said pulling the blue Skylander out from under his pillow, and handing it to Aaron.
"Oh, it is Tommy!" cooed Aaron, as he through his arms around Rico, as they tumbled back into bed.
As they lay there sweating and panting, Rico told Aaron about the new capabilities.
Aaron chuckled, "Well, I have a suspicion that those 30 cops under suspicion are going to take it on the lam."
"Oh, yeah!" replied Rico, "Do you smell something burning?"
"Oh, my breakfast!" Aaron shouted as he leapt out of bed and raced to the kitchen.
