Things had been very difficult for the Woods family. Dad worked minimum wage whilst mom had not worked in years. They struggled to put food on the table or pay for the roof over their heads. And with three teenage girls to house, clothe and feed, things could be very tough at times.
At some time or another, all three girls would likely be transformed as part of the program. It came to dad, one day, that perhaps this should also be used to alleviate the family's financial woes. An underground program existed which promised to transform people illegally, with money handed over in exchange for a new animal to sell. He sat the three girls - Steph, Jen, and Helen - at the table, ready to tell them the news, that one (or all?) of them would soon have to accustom themselves to a new life altogether.
