"Pigs?" Beth said. "We're going to be pigs?"
"It'll be okay, honey," Jessica said, desperately trying to keep her daughter calm. "At least we're going to be
the same species. We might be able to stay together."
Beth began to whimper, before bursting into a full flood of tears. Jessica held her close whilst trying to
maintain her own composure. She didn't want her precious daughter to be transformed into a dirty farm animal,
but at least she wouldn't have to go through this alone.
The next day, Beth and Jessica sat in the waiting room at the transformation centre, holding hands. They would
leave this building as animals, but they would still be mother and daughter.
