It was very important, from Mr Jones' perspective, that the girls were wholly accustomed to being pigs, and all that that entailed. Continued talk of escapes (however fleeting) was not what he wished to see. Casilla and Sandy were neck-and-neck for being the fattest sow, each of them really embracing their pigdom, by Ayleen remained occasionally belligerent of her new form, and was most often found to be reminiscing about her days as a human, refusing to fully accept being a pig. He wanted the pigs to look forward to being food, to conjure up recipes for themselves and comforting family dinners in which they were the centerpiece.
Soon Mr. Jones would have to weigh the pigs, whereupon he was supposed to allow the fattest free. Of course, he would be doing no such thing. One morning he awoke the sleeping sows with a loud banging; "morning girls. Let's hit the scales. Let's see who our winner is."
