Tim felt embarrassed and humiliated, being out in public dressed like an old lady. Only frequent glances into
the vanity mirror in the car reassured Tim that the world saw him as a 79-year old woman named Evelyn. Still,
he felt a bit disgusted knowing he was wearing some old lady's slacks, flowery blouse, even her bra and
panties.
Tim managed to drive back to Paul's place with no troubles. He had to admit, Evelyn drove a nice a car – a
fancy, luxury edition Cadillac. He maneuvered the car into the alley behind Paul's house and parked behind
some overgrown bushes at the edge of Paul's neighbor's yard.
“No one in sight,” Tim muttered, breathing a sigh of relief. He wondered what Paul's family would think of
some strange old lady rooting around through their garbage first thing in the morning.
“Just gotta find the spellbook Paul threw away,” Tim mumbled to himself. “And I can get out of here.”
Tim glanced nervously back and forth, but saw no one else in the alley. It was still fairly early in the
morning. The dew glistened quietly on the grass, and the only sound in the air was the distant chatter of
chirping songbirds.
“Let's get this over with,” Tim whispered to himself, opening up the lid to the Hodgson family's garbage can
and peering within.
What next?
