"Gill?" said Dani in surprise. There in the doorway was Guillermo Perez, Dan's wrestling rival. Before the
two had been pretty evenly matched, and each had beaten the other a couple times in competition. Dan couldn't
believe that he'd have picked Gill as his boyfriend.
Gill? thought Kat imagining a nerdy science geek, she peered around the doorway and saw a cute muscled tan
young man and her jaw dropped. Dani had a hotter boyfriend than Kat.
Gill stepped through the doorway and whipped out a bouquet of flowers from behind his back, "Sorry, I know I'm
a few minutes early, but you look great. I brought you flowers."
"Oh, Gill, you shouldn't have," Dani gushed as she took the flowers. No one had ever given her flowers
before. She felt a hot flush as her hand touched Gill's. There was something electric between them. Dani
grabbed the flowers and raced to the kitchen, saying, "I need to put these in water."
Gill was beaming as he turned to face Kat. Kat was staring at his tented jeans. Gill quickly turned his back
on Kat and walked slowly into the living room. Kat stared at Gill's tight bubble butt. She could make out a
square in his left back pocket. A condom? Kat slammed the front door. And muttered under her breath, "I should
change Dan back, but keep them as boyfriends."
"I'm sorry what did you say, Kat?" Gill asked over his shoulder. She seethed silently, he must still be
sporting that boner.
Taking a breath she answered, "So where are you taking my sister tonight?"
"Oh, I scored some tickets to that musical at the Strand, then grab some dinner after."
"Dinner? Where?"
"We'll play it by ear," Gill answered.
"Sounds fun!" Dani said entering with the flowers in a vase. She set them on the living room table and paused
as she noticed Gill's jeans. She couldn't help but smile. Last time she and Gill had wrestled, they had both
popped boners. Only Dan didn't recall Gill's boner as being so big then. He recognized the scent of Gill's
sweat from across the room, but it seemed different now. Then he saw Kat glaring. Dani couldn't figure out
why, but he didn't want to stick around if Kat was in one of her moods. Gill might end up a girl too, and Dan
certainly didn't want that. "Well, we better get going or we'll be late, Gill." Dani grabbed her purse and
Gill's arm and headed for Kat and the front door.
"Behave yourselves," Kat ordered, as she let them past her to open the door.
"Goodnight, Kat."
"Don't wait up," Gill added with a wink. That's when Kat saw the glowing charm on the chain around his neck.
It was a witch ward. How could he be under her spell if he was protected? Did he know Dani was Dan or maybe
in this new timeline, Dani had given him the ward to protect him from Kat's magic? She stood in the doorway as
Gill and Dani got onto Gill's electric scooter. Dani was holding him just a tad too tight, Kat thought, as
they drove off.
