I paused to think for a moment; before turning to look at Erin. "It might easier for you to make a wish."
“Okay then.” Pausing, Erin said, “I wish to know everything about genies.”
Suddenly a book appeared on the bed next to Erin; a large book. Walking over to it, I said, “That’s not what I
was expecting.”
“Me neither.” Picking up the book, Erin said, “I was thinking everything would just…pop into my head.”
While Erin sat down on the bed and opened the book, I noticed something peculiar. I was started to get antsy
the further away I got from the lamp. “I’m, uh, going to be in the…lamp if you need me.” Turning to Erin, I
said, “If I’m going to…be living there from now on, I might as well look around.”
“Okay.” Looking up from the book, Erin said, “I’ll…call you when I’m done.”
I wasn't quite sure how to return to the lamp; until I decided to simply think ‘lamp.’ That worked and I soon
found myself back in the lamp.
Looking around, I wondered what to do next. The room was made up to look like the rooms I’d seen in medieval
movies, sparsely decorated with candles. “This won’t do; I’ll have to do something about this.”
Still unaccustomed to my new…abilities; I was surprised that all I had to do was think about what I wanted the
room to look like and it changed accordingly. Soon enough I was standing in what passed for my dream room, a
big screen TV, sound system, etc.
Standing back to admire my handiwork, I noticed a door in the corner. “Wonder where that leads?”
Walking to the door, I opened it and was surprised to see a long hallway with dozens of doors.
I spent the next hour or so exploring the various rooms; making a note to change them later. After a while, I
started to feel a little tired so I returned to the main room and lay down on the bed.
