You are starting to feel impatient because you want her to notice you again, she turns around and look at you with a playful smile. “You know what? I’ve just decided which dog to pick” She walks towards you. It feels like you’re going to explode with happiness as you feel she’s about to pick you. You have trouble keeping still, you shift your weight from one leg to another. As she’s right in front looking into your eyes you find yourself smiling and panting. But as she just walks past you feel a great disappointment at this anticlimax. Instead of picking you she picks a large Bernese mountain dog who seems to be the happiest dog in the world because he’s been picked by his mistress. She clicks his leash in place and leads him to you, still smiling. “Here you are. This is Charlie. I’m sure you two will have a great afternoon with each other” She hands you the leash but you can’t stop feeling disappointed that she didn’t pick you. You also don’t seem to be able to keep your eyes from her, which also seems to be a common problem amongst the canines of the kennel. Her face turns from smiling to worry. “What’s the matter? You look disappointed. You don’t like this breed?” You swallow and smile politely. “No it’s not that. It’s just… This probably sounds a bit strange, but I was actually kind of hoping that you would pick me for the walk” Her expression turns from worried to happy again. She smiles knowingly as she walks closer to you and caresses your cheek. A rush of pleasure flow through your body and you start panting again without even noticing. “You big silly dog. You came here to walk with a dog, not with me. But when you come back with Charlie, I will take you for a walk” She whispers then pushes you away playfully. “Go on your walk now and come back when you’re ready” She starts to walk away towards one of the doors, but just as she’s about to close the door behind her she looks back at you and says “I’ll be waiting”
Suddenly you feel want to go on a walk again, but not because you want to know how it is to own a dog but because you want to come back here as fast as possible so you can take a walk with that kennel lady.
