Dawn Marie felt the cool, strangely sharp water flow down the back of her throat and smiled with pleasure before she offered the canteen to her husband.
"Josh...would you like some?" She asked.
Josh shook his head. "No, honey. I'm busy." And he was. Typing away, talking to his stockbroker about the millions he had tied away in stocks and bonds. The vacation provided by Mason Manufacturing, LTD, was supposed to be to wind down. It was only making Josh tighter, more nervous. Soon, Dawn thought, he'd screw himself apart, if he kept twisting on more pressure.
She stepped out of the tent, stretching out luxuriously as she watched the other campers. All of them were Josh's business partners and associates. She was the only employee here, though everyone considered her an equal business partner as well. Everyone here knew that she had Josh's ear.
Millicent Carroll, the doll-perfect wife of Henry Carroll, waved one perfectly manicured hand while she checked her golden curls. She was skinny, though plastic surgery had kept her more...attractive attributes from vanishing into the world of anorexia. In fact, Millie looked like a Barbie. Where Dawn was lithe and beautiful, with her long black hair and deep violet eyes, she wasn't skinny. She was no Millicent Carroll.
