Stacey got her senses back quickly and tried to tackle the old woman. The old woman was shocked and fell backwards before she got a chance to make a wish. Stacey quickly grabbed her hand, got a grip on the ring and yelled "I wish this woman was unconscious!” The woman went limp and Stacey quickly grabbed the ring off of her finger and put it back on to hers.
Amber ran over to Stacey. “What happened?” she asked.
“That woman grabbed my hand when I tried to help her up and she grabbed my ring and wished to have it!” Stacey replied.
“What'd you do to get it back then?”
“I grabbed her hand and the ring and wished it back.” Stacey looked up. “Uh-oh.” There were mall cops and other onlookers standing around them.
One of the cops looked at the two, “What did you two do to this poor old woman?”
Stacey got and and said, nervously, “Well, we saw her lying on the ground, and I went over to help her up. She grabbed my hand and tried to pull me down and attack me.”
“Well,” said the cop, “how did she get knocked out?”
“Er...” Stacey thought quickly, and remembered she had the ring. “I wish that no one here except for me and Amber thinks that we did anything wrong and they believe that the woman tried to kill us,” she said under her breath.
The cop looked down at her. “What did you just say?” The wish took effect and everybody standing around Stacey and Amber shook their heads as if they were trying to remember something but couldn't. Then they looked at them again.
“Well, as long as you girls are all right, you can leave.” said the cop, as he handcuffed her and took her away.
“Phew, that was close!” said Amber, picking up the clothes they were going to buy, “Why don't we pay for this stuff and get the heck outta here?”
“Hey, why don't we not pay for them?” said Stacey. “I wish we could have anything here that we want for free.” They both went up to the counter, got their stuff put in bags, and left the store.
