Emily raised her three-digited head and shook her head no. A very human gesture. She
thought about getting rid of these as well, but quickly decided against it. After all,
she needed to do some work and communicate with other humans.
Now when she was a half-goat not only in body, but also in mind, her physical form seemed
a little less perfect. She decided to do some tweaks: her horns became a little more
curvy, her eyes, a bit darker, her hooves, a little larger. Her mouth pushed out, forming
a bit of a muzzle. Her teeth changed, became broad and rectangular, ideal for grazing and
chewing grass. She felt her insides rearranging, her digestive organs adapting for her
new ration. Emily always was curious how it felt to eat grass and now she finally would
be able to know.
With that done, Emily took a good look on herself in the mirror once again. All seemed
ideal: both her body and her mind. Finally, she vigorously nodded and let out a small
confident "Baaah".
"Are you ready, Emily?" - the woman asked in a serious tone. - "Just bleat twice if you
don't want to talk."
"Baah baah." - The goat girl sounded impatiently.
"Okay then. Just relax, child, and I'll do the job."
The woman began silently chanting, almost murmuring under her breath. The circle on the
floor and the gem in the necklace started to glow a soft white light. The light, the
perfect form, the lady's soft murmuring - all of this was calming Emily down, almost
putting her to sleep.
Finally, the light dimmed again and Emily snapped off her trance. Still, she was very
calm. She felt natural, like she was born like this, a half-goat girl.
"Emily, my dear." - The woman called. - "Take off the necklace, please."
"Baaaaa?" - Emily's eyes were filled with uncertainty. She knew taking off the necklace
would return her normal... Wait, wasn't she already normal? She felt so good, so right...
"You can't go home like this." - The woman smiled. The word 'home' hit Emily like a ton
of bricks. Of course! She's not a goat, she's a human girl, with human friends and a
human home! She took of the necklace that instant.
She felt her form shifting: her hair growing longer and thinner, gaining their normal
shade, her hooves transforming into human feet and her large digits splitting into human
fingers. Her mind flooded with complex human thoughts and decisions as her mind returned
into original state.
"I can't thank you enough." - Emily said, happy to found that she can use human speech
again. - "My mind seems to have stuck..."
"It sometimes happens when you transform for the first time; your mind becomes too
occupied with the new form and may shove aside your memories." - The woman said
seriously. - "That's why I said you don't want to be alone when transforming for the
first time. It will be all right, you'll get hang of it pretty fast. Just have something
or someone to remind you who you are, just in case."
"Thank you, I will."
"Good." - the woman smiled again. - "So, Emily, did you get what you want? Do you want
anything else?"
