You stumble back to your room a little drunk but basically okay. You feel tired but you don't really want to sleep. Suddenly you feel...different. You don't know how, you just do. The slamming of a door startles you. Your roommate Mark walks in. He's drenched in sweat.
"How long have you been working out? You left like eight hours ago."
"I was stuck."
"Stuck?"
"Long story short: I was at the gym, my spotter left, 300 pounds of weight on my chest for five hours, etc."
"Jesus."
"Yeah, tell me about it. I'm going to take a shower."
Mark grabs a towel and leaves the room. Something was different about him. You don't know what. You were in that bar for a while, and it wasn't exactly the cleanest place in the world. You decide to take a shower too. Your house has one of those antiquated group showers. It's crude but effective. You think of Ben as you undress. Sure he's your friend but it makes you feel weird to know that you've showered in the same room with him. You said you were okay with him but you're still a little uneasy. You put your clothes on the bench next to Mark's. He's the only other person in the showers. As you turn on the water you get that same feeling you had earlier. You turn to let the water run down your back. There's a lot of steam in here but you can still see Mark at the other end of the room. Oddly enough, this is the first time you have seen him naked. He's pretty fit for a thin guy. He turns and sees you.
"What is it?"
You realize you were staring.
"Nothing."
You both turn back around. What the hell was that? You've never looked at Mark that long. There was just something about him that was almost...attractive. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! Stop thinking like that!
"You okay man? You're acting weird"
"I'm fine."

You're in your room later. Mark is lounging around in his underwear. It's late and he's getting tired. You won't admit it but you have been stealing looks at him when his head is turned. You want to say something but you have no idea what's going on.
"Hey Mark?"
"Hm?"
"...never mind."
Mark sighs.
"Listen, I'm going to bed. I'm exhausted. You need the lights for anything."
"No."
Mark turns off the lights and climbs into his bed. What is going on here? You look at him again. Your beds are so close together and it feels weird. What is happening to you?
