You watch out the car window as Brad’s car drives up in front of the garage. He turns his head, looks at you and smiles. “We’re home” he states. He gets out of the car and helps you with your seatbelt. You jump out of the car and looks around at your new home, your territory. The wind brings you information about your neighbours, both your human and canine ones. It feels strange and overwhelming with all these new senses. You lower your head and give the ground a couple of sniffs as you start padding around in front of the large house. Brad watches you curiously. “Hey Caroline, how much of a dog did you become anyway?” You lift your head for a moment and give him an angry look and let out a bark before continuing your examination of the ground. What you try to say with this is “You’re the one that wanted a dog for a girlfriend. Get used too it” As you walk out towards the street you pick up the smell of the urine of a large male dog, probably a German Shepard. As you find the spot you take a couple of sniffs before you squat down and mark your territory over the spot. Brad suddenly gets all wide eyed and he starts emitting the scent which does not exist in the animal world: embarrassment. “Caroline!? What are you doing!? If you need to go to the bathroom you could have just told me!” Your tongue lolls out and your starts to pant contentedly. You can’t believe this, you’re actually enjoying this. But as you see Brad marching towards you with the leash in one of his hands you stop panting and pull your tongue back in. He clicks the leash in place and starts pulling the leash. “Come now Caroline, let’s go inside” You feel your ears pull back instinctively because of the treatment he’s giving you. Your neck is staring to get sore from all the pulling he’s doing.
