“Uh…” Haily’s train of thought was babbled. “Essence du tigre?” She bumbled out, looking around to mask her blush. Esmeralda came close,
placing a hand on Haily’s shoulder.
“Mmmm yes, I took you for a tigress miss, and am not disappointed. Such passion, such energy, it flows from you petite dame.” Haily’s blush
darkened at her words…”Well miss, right over ziz way, we ’ave ze essence du tigre. Do you ’ave a special someone in mind per’aps? A man, for
ze matching cologne?” Haily glanced over to the wolf cologne…maybe she could buy him some. But another time.
“No ma’am, not today. Besides he’s more of a wolf.” She looked away, not realizing that she had just said that aloud.
“Oooh, so zere is a man?” Esmeralda chuckled. “Well, anozer time zen. ’ere you are, one bottle of essence du tigre? Will zat be all
mademoiselle?” Haily nodded and proceeded to the check out. “Jus’ be careful petit dame, what you wish for, so it shall be. Zat is no ordinary
perfume, in fact, none of zeze are. Zey are ze scent, of passion.” Haily shook her head, admiring her commitment to the store, laughing inside
at how cheesy the line was.
“Thankyou ma’am, its been a pleasure talking to you.” As she reached for the perfume, Esmeralda placed a hand on hers, holding her for one
moment, and staring into Haily’s eyes, seduction oozing from her smile.
“No, mademoiselle, ze pleasure, was all mine.” And her eyes flashed yellow, just briefly. Haily stumbled, the woman’s gentle chuckle making
Haily laugh back ,nervously. Yeah, time to go home. As she left the shop, she wondered how she did that. Contacts probably. Controlled by
blinking…or? Whatever, it was kinda neat. Just startled her, that’s all. She looked in her bag ad the bottle, and smiled. Sheesh she had been
waiting a while to get her hands on this.
As she pulled into her driveway, she noticed her mother had already gone. Sweet, she could try on the perfume alone, and not have her mom
come barging in asking what it was. She had the house to herself. Excitedly, she ran from her car, into her house.
She closed her door, and pulled out the bottle. Very faint stripes, like a tiger’s, could be seen ingrained onto the bottle. The glass was curved
like an hourglass, and showed off a sexy seductive like charm. She liked it already.
Haily pulled the bottle out of the bag, and turned it in her hands, it was about the size of a pear. The label on the back was curious. It read:
Warning: The contents of this bottle are very potent, and contain a strong mix of pheromones, aphrodisiacs, and the company’s secret mix of
scent creating chemicals. Do not overspray. One and done is a good rule.
“..company’s ‘secret’ mix? Is that allowed?” her breath hitching, was this stuff safe? A couple lines down, the bottle said that nothing was toxic.
So that’s good. “Oh well, here goes.” She unscrewed the cap, the strong scent already hitting her nose. It was a deep musk, similar to crushed
pine needles and cinnamon, but decidedly ashy, like a fire.
She giggled and squeezed out a tiny mist onto her neck. Her nose flattened out, and she could feel her teeth grow sharper. She also felt her
ears become more round.
Haily ran to the bathroom, and looked in the mirror to see that in addition to these features, her irises were now golden, and she even had
some small black stripes on the back of her neck. She smiled, showing off her sharp teeth, and started purring. She woundered what whould
happen if she sprayed more, or if she should call her best friend Sam. What would she do?
