“I wish I knew what to do.” Melissa said. “To think that bitch is out there, with my money doing…”
“Of course!” Emily shouted, standing up. She raced out of the room as fast as lightning and soon returned with her laptop. “If she has your wallet, she has your credit cards. You never keep all that much with you, so she’ll need to use the cards. If she does, we can track them with that identity theft protection thing you signed up for a few months ago.”
“Not a bad idea!” Stefanie said.
“Brilliant!” Melissa agreed.
Emily accessed the site and checked the info for all of Melissa’s credit cards. One by one they came back with no activity today until the last one.
“HAH! Gotcha bitch!” Emily shouted. “It seems serenity bought a one way ticket to Omaha, Nebraska.”
“Makes sense,” Stefanie said, “that’s about as far inland as you can get here; and for an ex-mermaid who wants to avoid water, flying 30,000 ft. out of view of all those lakes and rivers is the way to go.”
“Has the flight left already?” Melissa asked.
“It doesn’t leave for another 5 hours. Plenty of time to get there and stop her!” Emily put the laptop on the toilet seat. “Not as smart as you thought, you sea hag!” Emily left the bathroom and returned with a number of food items from the pantry. “In case you get hungry. Now, you two behave, I’ve got an ex-fish to fry.”
