So they followed the path which the sign pointed to, and in a few minuets, they arrived at it.
It was huge, and was decorated with all sorts of candy.
"Shall we go in?" Alexis asked happily.
"Ladies first." Jon said sweetly, and they both went in.
When they got in, they saw that everything was made of sweets.
They nibbled here and there, but they saw a table in the kitchen with a pile of super-good-looking sweets on it!
Although little voices in their heads told them "Don't do it, you two!" and "Doesn't this scenario seem awfully familiar?", Jon and Alexis ignored
them, ran to the table, sat down, and started eating.
The sweets tasted so good, and they were so busy eating, that neither one of them noticed what was happening to them.
First, they got younger until both of them were only 7, then their races changed to German, and finally their clothes changed to traditional
German children clothing.
At last, they stopped eating, looked at themselves, and eachother.
They should've been scared, but their fear had been replaced by child-like curiosity.
"Wow," Jon said "we're kids!"
"We're German kids!" Alexis said.
"Why do we still speak English?" Jon asked.
"Maybe we are," Alexis reasoned "and since we both changed, we can understand eachother?"
"You look Uber cute in that dress!" Jon said, blushing.
"You're Uber cute too!" Alexis said smiling, and they hugged eachother.
"It's so nice to have you two here!" they heard a voice say, and they turned around to see who it was - a German woman who looked like she
was in her 20's, but with green skin, and long, pointed ears. She was in a beautiful German dress, but Jon and Alexis knew somehow that she
was a witch!
"Did you do this to us?" Jon asked, not that he was complaining.
"I didn't do anything." She replied smiling "You did that to yourselves by eating the sweets just like I knew you would!"
"What do you mean?" Alexis asked.
"You know the story of Hansel and Gretel, right?" the beautiful witch asked.
"Yes." they both replied.
"Well," she said, smiling "there's more to the story. You see, I'm the witch's daughter, and I wasn't too happy to find my mother burned to
ashes, and her treasure gone. You two are actually the descendants of Hansel and Gretel over hundreds of years. The sweets you ate brought
out your latent German heritage, and made you both into their original images. Now don't get me wrong. I don't want revenge, but instead I
want to be your mother. I've always wanted children of my own. I'd take care of you, feed you, and keep you like this as long as you want. What
do you say, kinder?"
They think about it, and make their choice.
