Jake walked into the room, where he was promptly sealed in by the door closing.
"Hey! What happened? I can't get out!"
A voice rang back. "That's the RE5 room! You know how to play Resident Evil, right? To get out you have to get a key! Just play the game and find one!"
Jake looked around. In the room with him were several hallways, which led to more hallways. In front of him was a switch on a pedestal, which he looked at closely. On one side, the panel read "become a character", and on the other it read "direct drop". He wondered what it did, and then realized--the first choice was to actually become Chris, Sheva, Jill, or the others, and the second one would place him directly in as himself...or at least that's how he figured it would work.
He looked over at the hallways. Each one had a panel over its respective archway, and from right to left, they read: Human, Humanoid, Monster, and the very last one, which was painted black, unlike the others, read "Costumes". Apparently that one was special, which made sense. Well, which room would he enter? First, he had to choose whether he wanted to play as himself, or as a character, so Jake placed his hand on the switch tentatively. Immediately, a male voice rang out around him.
"Please be aware that once you select a play and enter a room, you will be transported into the game--" the scary voice from the title screen of the game sounded-- "Resident Evil: 5. Once you have finished the game, you will be returned to this room with a key, unharmed. Please enjoy your experience."
Well, that was it wasn't it? Time to pick your experience. Stay as Jake, or become someone else?
