Shawn started digging around in the dust, hoping that the Aladdin reference went deeper than just the location and design of the cave. Fortunately, after about ten minutes, Shawn found an old genie lamp. Shawn rubbed the lamp, and a genie appeared in a puff of smoke.
Unlike literally everything featuring a genie girl would have indicated, this genie wasn't an Arabian belly dancer. Instead, she looked like a hooker. Tall, skinny, huge chest, platinum blond hair. She was even wearing a hooters uniform.
"Oh thank God! I thought I would be in there forever! Do you know how few players come out here?" The genie asked.
"Um. No?" Shawn said.
"Not a lot. In fact, I think I was the last one to visit, and that was over a month ago." The genie said.
"You're a player?" Shawn asked.
"Yep. Name's Jessie. I came out here back in the beta just to see what was around. I found this lamp with a really sexy genie in it." Jessie said.
"Well, what did you wish for?" Shawn asked.
"First I wished for 5,000 gold. That was actually granted fairly easily. Then I wished I could play as a class that was reserved for NPC's. I turned into a bartender. Last, I wished to be the most powerful mage in the game. Apparently, genies are classified as mages, and their reality warping makes them the most powerful ones in the game. So, I was turned into a genie, and a girl one too. Plus, apparently the female version of this class has certain... requirements." Jessie said, holding up her large breasts.
"That's awful." Shawn said.
"You're telling me. The worst part is, I could have wished for more wishes! The one time someone gets a genie and they can wish for more wishes, and for the genie to do what they want, and I still end up in the lamp." Jessie pouted.
"Hey, Jessie, if you help me with my quest, I'll help you turn back." Shawn said.
"Great! OK, here's the deal. You're my master now, so there are three wishes you need to make right off the bat. First, wish that I was tied to you personally instead of the lamp. Second, wish that you couldn't make wishes that would lead to your own death. Third, wish for five hundred more wishes." Jessie said.
"Why five hundred?" Shawn asked.
"Because I'm afraid that if you wish for infinite wishes, I'll be stuck like this forever, and if you just say you want more wishes, the same might happen." Jessie explained.
"Can't you stop that from happening?" Shawn asked.
"Genie magic screws people over, even the genie sometimes." Jessie said. After that, Shawn made the three wishes.
"Alright! Now, let me guess, you wish you weren't in the cave anymore?" Jessie asked.
"Right." Shawn said. With a snap of her fingers, Jessie transported Shawn and herself to the outside of the cave, where Sandra was violently attacking the sand with her staff.
"You! Where have you been?" Sandra asked.
"Picking up a new friend." Shawn said, nodding toward Jessie.
"A genie? We can't trust her." Sandra said.
"Relax, she's a player too." Shawn said.
"A player? What does that even mean?" Sandra asked.
"Oh, right. Only some of the NPC's in this game know that it's a game. The rest will treat it as a world-shattering breakthrough if you tell them." Jessie said.
"You shut up genie. Listen, have you made any wishes yet?" Sandra asked.
"Yes." Shawn said. She then explained the four wishes she had already made.
"I guess they haven't caused any trouble yet." Sandra said.
"Um, guys? Quest?" Jessie suggested. Shawn and Sandra glanced down at the fire jewel that was just lying in the sand. Shawn grabbed it, and the three started running back to the train so they could turn in the quest.
