Adam was just pulling on his jacket again when he
heard a key in the lock. It was Mario, returning from
class. He quickly began plying his roommate with
questions about what was in the crushed box.
"Oh that," laughed Mario, amused at the usually calm
Adam's distress. "That was just a project I was working
on for Biotrans, but it doesn't even work! Don't worry!"
Adam was not so quickly convinced. "Are you sure it's
safe? What was it?"
"Oh, it was just . . ."
