Nate awoke the following morning, spread out onto his bed. He smiled to himself as he slowly sat up, thinking he had the most amazing dream. He quickly realized that wasn't the case when the saw he was still wearing his tattered jeans, and the large, muddy paw prints on the floor leading from his window to his bed. It had been real, he had transformed into a werewolf last night.
He sneaked out into the hall and opened the hall closet. He grabbed a cleaning rag and bottle of Resolve carpet cleaner. He cleaned up the carpet, managing to get out all the muddy paw prints. He heart was thumping hard now. This was really happening. Would it happen again?
He deposited the rag in his clothes basket and returned the carpet cleaner to the hall closet. He then continued to the bathroom and flicked on the light, closing the door behind him. He checked himself out in the mirror. He had mud and dirt smudged all over, but also noticed his prior, pudgy self was gone, replaced with an absolutely ripped, muscled body. How am I going to explain this, wondered Nate. He got in the shower and washed off the mud and caked on dirt.
Memories from the night before flooded through he consciousness. Memories of scaring local teenagers hanging out at the park, chasing wildlife through the woods. He smiled to himself, thinking what a great night.
Nate tried to keep himself busy all day, doing chores for his mom, reading, watching T.V. He kept feeling more and more restless as the day wore on. He couldn't wait for night to fall to see if he would change again or not.
After dinner, he went to his bedroom again. His Mom and brother were home that night, so he had to keep to himself to make sure they didn't see him this time. After a couple hours, the sun set and the moon began to rise. He began to feel the anticipation and excitement well up inside of him, almost ready to burst. He looked out the window and saw the moon high up in the sky. Nate took a deep breath...
