You head towards the food court, assuming there'd be something there to tamper with. Wandering past the
various eateries looking for a target, you happen across two teenage boys sitting by the fountain. They looked
too young to drive, but old enough to loiter by themselves. One of them seemed angry about something while the
other calmed him down. You sit nearby them and pretend to be texting someone while you listened to their
conversation.
"I just can't believe she won't let me go!"
"Come on George, you know she's only looking out for you.".
"I don't care! Everyone else is going to that party, even you, and she won't let me because there's no adult
supervision. She doesn't think I'm responsible enough to look after myself. Ugh, I can't wait to be older so I
can finally do everything that I want".
"I don't know. Being older would be cool, but then you have to go to work and pay bills and stuff. I don't
want to do that yet. I'm in no rush to grow up".
"That's just a minor downside to the bigger picture. Just think, we could drive cars and drink alcohol and
stay out all night clubbing. Dude, we could have sex every night if we were older. It just takes so long to
grow up. I wish it could happen in an instant".
"Nah, slow and steady man. Just a few more years and we'll have all that. Be patient".
"But it's just so hard. School is so draining on me. If someone were to offer to make me older right now, I
would probably take it, no matter what".
That was your signal. Using your innate powers, you will all of time to stop around you. Everyone freezes in
place and an eerie silence fills the hall. The fountain behind you goes quiet and you can see water floating
in the air. You get up and walk over to the boy, you think his friend said he was called George, and take off
his clothes so they wouldn't be destroyed when he grew up. You leave the underwear on, making it so they would
grow as he did. You wanted to see the transformation happen, but he had to have some decency. You were about
to start aging him, but then you had an idea. You leave George and went to hide behind a pillar, close enough
to watch but hidden enough to not be noticed if he looked in your direction. Trying to keep as still as
possible, you unfreeze George and it takes him a while to notice what had happened. He jumped into the air,
trying to find the clothes he previously wore, then noticed something was wrong. He clicked his fingers in
front of his friend and seemed scared about the lack of reaction. His voice echoed around the mall, nobody
else able to hear him. You backtrack on your previous decision and call back out to him. He looked around for
the source of the voice and you jump out at him. He screamed and cowered by one of the food stands.
"Oh my God, please don't hurt me! I don't know what's happening!".
You laugh and say "I'm not here to hurt you. I overheard your conversation and I decided to help you. I just
so happen to be Father Time".
He stopped shaking and said "Father Time? That can't be true. Isn't he meant to be some old dude with a long
beard? You look nothing like that".
"I can control all of time. Do you think I'd keep myself at an age where I look like Dumbledore? Hah, no way.
So you want to be older, no matter what?".
"Yes! Just make me an adult and I'll do anything for you".
"Well I don't want anything in return. I just want to grant a young boy's wish for maturity. Now let's see
what I can do".
You grab your retractable staff and tap Brad on the head with it while mumbling some words. You could perform
your magic without it, but you always were dramatic. The tip of the staff glowed and shot out a beam of light
towards him, being absorbed into his body. And now the fun began.
