"Well, at least my job gave me off today," Simon blurted, not really aware of what his new job could be. "Maybe I can just enjoy the park a little and help you out here at the stand for a bit?"
"Ummm... Whatever you say," Jay shouted back, kind of confused. "We will go get lunch when I have break."
"Well shoot guys, here you are making plans and I gotta get my ass to work before nine," said Bryan, but Jay was giving him a dirty look. "Oh, sorry dude, you know what I meant by 'ass'."
"Watch it dude. I'll buck you up like last time!" Jay joked as he clenched his four-fingered fist and shook it at Bryan.
"Here - " Jay let Simon get off the surrey by the donkman sign, and Bryan handed back the Chronivac device to him. What Simon didn't know, however, was that Bryan had secretly made a couple changes to Simon while he was too busy gaping at Jay's new hot bod - leaving the unaware setting untouched so that the subtle enhancements he had made were going to be a riot later when he got off of work. He didn't know why Simon had suddenly taken such a hardcore interest in Jay this morning, but he was going to make sure that it was humiliatingly funny at the least. So he tapped through the career settings...
"Hopefully you can fix this thing and show it to me later. It looks interesting!" Bryan told Simon, lying through his teeth.
"Me too! Be right back, Simon." Jay took off with Bryan and Simon sat down behind the stand.
Simon clutched his forehead in disbelief. This was all a little bit too unreal, and he wondered how much longer he was going to let this go. Whatever had happened, it had changed reality so that nobody seemed to know or care that Jay was half-donkey and that the world adjusted itself so that it could fit this new reality world that was triggered by the transformation. It was the craziest thing ever. And Simon loved it. "What's the harm in seeing how far this thing goes?" he thought to himself. Holy hell to god, he had a walking talking donkey friend! Think about it!
Before he could contemplate further, a man with a straw hat and a large sack over his back walked up from a truck that was parked at the edge of the curb of the park. He dropped the sack right in front of the stand.
"Here ya go, Simon. This week's load. Just sign the papers, as always."
"Ummm... what's in the bag?" Simon asked.
"What do you think, smart-aleck. Where's Jay?"
"Dropping off Bryan at work."
"Okay. Well, I'll see you guys at 2:00. Remind him that today is service day! Not that he'd forget, that little devil, always wanting his way with the ladies... Keep up the good work, Jay!" Then the old man walked off, leaving Simon a little stupefied.
Five minutes later, he heard the clops of Jay's hooves as he returned with the red surrey and a couple customers. They got off at the park and handed Jay a couple 5 dollar bills.
"Back. Oh, goody! We got the new oats delivery!" Jay swished his tail in excitement and licked his chops. Simon kept his cool but was secretly in love with the way he reacted - to a bag of Oats??
"Wait, what?" he asked.
"Just keep manning the stand for now, and then you can feed me when I get back. I'm already starving..."
"Wait, WHAT?!?"
"I don't have time for this, Sy - what's the problem?"
Simon didn't want to jeopardize the situation any further. He was just going to have to go with the flow if he was going to have his way with Jay later and be able to control this 'new' reality he was living in. Feed him? Was this his new job - taking care of Jay, and working for this old man with the straw hat? "Nothing. Just... the man dropped off the oats and said it was "service day," and that we meet him at 2:00."
"Yeah! I KNOW. I've been thinking about it all week!" - Simon could see his friend perk up in a way that suggested he knew what "service day" really meant now - especially with no clothing on, the tip of Jay's donkey dick starting to emerge from its sheath and open for all the world to see. It was impossible not to look. "God dang it, Sy, now you got me thinking about it again. Catch you in a half hour - I gotta hit up the south end for a few runs."
Jay took off one more time, and when he came back, he looked even more amazing after beads of sweat covered his body and his arm and leg muscles looked flexed from being active and practiced in his runs. "Okay, hit me."
"Huh?"
Jay snorted. "The oats! Feed me! Come on, Sy. Do your job!"
Simon reluctantly pushed the heavy bag over to Jay and opened the bag up as he watched his friend plunge his head into the bag of oats, making loud noises and braying in pleasure - just like a real donkey would. Although he didn't understand, he felt like he was doing the right thing in helping Jay out and felt like this was what he is supposed to be doing. It felt right. It was his job to serve Jay and help the old man.
This continued for a while until the bag was completely out. Jay's head emerged in disappointment. "Aww man, out already? I'm getting short-served... well, I'm still hungry - let's go grab more lunch at the cafe so you can eat and then run off to the farm."
