"That's a pretty specific, pretty...unusual request," I said when Theresa finished her explanation.
"Can you do that for me?" she asked. "That is how you could make amends for me."
I liked at Bozantum. He appeared as surprised as I was. "I believe so," I said. "But I have one final condition, one that I think you'll find acceptable."
"What?" she asked.
"I am forming a small group that will assist me in remaking the world," I explained. "I'd like you to be a part of that group. I can assure you that you will not regret it."
"But what about..." she started.
I cut her off and said, "We'll come to that point later." I knew exactly what she was going to ask, but now wasn't the right time.
"Then I accept your offer," she said.
"Wonderful," I said. I went over to her and hugged her. She seemed a little apprehensive at being hugged by a naked woman, but she returned the hug. "I am so happy I can do this for you."
"Let's see if he's there," she said as she picked up her cell phone. She picked up her phone not to make a call, but to send a message.
As it turned out, much to my extreme surprise, Theresa had been in an online relationship. She had never met the other person, but she knew that he was a man. She knew this because they met in a very specific type of group where information such as that had to be verified in order to participate. She and this man had a lot in common, but were too afraid to meet one another. It may have had something to do with the fact that the group where they met was based upon sexual fantasies that some might consider unnatural, but which were also complete fantasies. There was no way they could ever do the things they did in their fantasies in real life. That was another reason why they'd never agreed to see each other in person. They were too afraid of ruining the fantasy. But thanks to my ring, now they could live out their fantasy.
The man's name was Stephen. The only other information that they shared with each other was their ages and the fact that they both lived in this town. They had seen no pictures of each other, they had never even described themselves to each other. Theresa sent him a text message saying she desperately wanted to meet him and had to do it tonight.
We waited for a reply. Less than a minute later it came. Theresa read the message aloud, "Idk. Right now?"
"Yes, right now," Theresa said as she typed the message.
Another minute passed and another reply came. This message read, "I don't think it's a good idea. Not ready yet. :( "
Theresa looked at me with frustration. I was afraid I'd have to do this. But I wished that Stephen, wherever and whoever he was, would simply agree to meeting Theresa and would be OK with Bozantum and I being there as well.
Almost instantly another message arrived on Theresa's phone. "On 2nd thought, OK. Come over! Here's my address: 1250 Carpenter St."
Theresa smiled with delight. "I am bringing 2 friends. OK?" she said as she typed.
"OK," was the simple reply.
"Alright, let's get going," said Theresa. She was extremely excited and I couldn't blame her. We left her house and headed toward Stephen's house. I knew that Carpenter St. was in a nicer part of town. It took us about 20 minutes to get there. Stephen's house was bigger than Theresa's house. It looked much nicer as well.
Theresa appeared nervous as we approached the front door. "We're right behind you, don't be worried," I said.
