To Sue, he was perfect
Sue was an orphan who was interested in greek mythology.
She read all the stories. Jason and the argonauts, the labors of
Heracles, the list goes on. Her favorites were about the
creatures of myths, like centaurs and satyrs.
So imagine her delight when she found Jason. Jason was a farm
boy who owned a whole library of mythology. Not just greek,
but all of them. She would go to his farm, and they would read
stories together.
After a few months, Sue suggested that his family adopt her.
"We could live on the farm together. I wouldn't mind working, I
love animals, and of course, I love you."
So Sue soon became a member of Jasons family. Jason showed
her around, how to work the machines, how to milk the cows,
the basics. They had just ended their first day, and they were
walking near the coastal forest. (See, the family lived near a
large freshwater inlet, so the farmland was very fertile)
It was night, and they had just entered a small clearing. "Jason,
shouldn't we get back to the farm? It's almost midnight." Jason
shrugged. "Don't worry, we'll be fine. By the way, I have a
question for you." "Fire away."
"If I were a minotaur, stuck in a maze and fed people yearly,
would you make yourself a minotauress and live with me?"
"Yes."
"And if I were a hydra, with hundreds of heads, would you too
become a dragon and join me?"
"Yes."
"And if I were to transform into a mindless werewolf on the
spot, would you let me bite you, and join my hunt?"
"Yes."
