...a wood nymph? What's a wood nymph?
The ground below suddenly shifted as Jeff was dragged atop the trees, finally slowing down a few miles out of
town, but near the river. Slowly, he was lowered down into the branches of a massive, ancient oak tree.
Wait, not just the branches, but into the tree itself!
His body effortlessly melted into the wood as if it were made of nothing stronger than whipped cream, though
he could feel the tree and it's strenght. It pulsed though him, and he could feel every detail of it. He
could feel the sap flowing though it, each and every leaf, the different birds and forest animals that made it
home, the worms and insects that collected in the soil and bark.
It was like he was the tree.
But Jeff knew that he was much more than a simple oak tree. He rested a moment until he felt he had control
of his body again, then simply stepped out of the tree.
It took no effort, but he still felt a strong connection to the tree. If he wandered away, he knew that the
tree would call him back.
Except he wasn't himself anymore. He looked at his body in shock, seeing the slightly green skin and perfect
female body, her oak colored hair had leaves folded among the strands. She knew she was a spirit of the
forest, a protector.
