When Jeff went upstairs and after about half an hour of tinkering he finally got his computer running again and the Chronivac sort of functioning. It stated due to errors it was now running in 'light' mode. This mode allowed on editing of skills, abilities and other knowledge, but not bodies. This was where Jeff had an idea; if he couldn't turn his body back to normal, then maybe he could instead change its capabilities. So he went about adding abilities to himself; increasing his athleticism, his fighting knowledge, his strength and speed, and in general making himself more physically capable.
When he was done he pressed enter and the changes took hold without error. New knowledge, and memories, flooded into his brain. Luckily the girl he had a date with seemed unaffected. They were still on for tomorrow and everything. He tried out his new skills and found he was able to do a perfect midair flip like a ninja, and his body had been minorly altered to be in better shape. It wasn't a perfect fix, but it was a damn sight better than before.
Jeff closed the program and went back downstairs, grinding down the stair rail with ease and jumping off at the bottom. He found his sister watching TV and greeted her heartily. "Hi Jeff," she replied distractedly/
Oddly her attitude towards him seemed to have remained unchanged. In fact it seemed oddly worse. There was less gloating and more... something else. The doorbell rang and Jamie got up to answer it. "Jeff!" she called "It's for you."
Jeff, curious, got up and dashed over to the door to see a teenage girl there with blond hair and a body as great as his sister's. Her eyes lit up when she saw him. "Hey Jeff," she greeted cheerily, "Me and some of the other girls are heading down to help set up the community center bake sale. They need a cute, famous face to help draw in people. So are you in?"
