Rachel began silently freaking out (due to the lack of a mouth, she would've screamed if she had the ability
to do so). She looked at herself in the mirror, she was a complete freak. Not only did she look like a freak,
but how was she going to eat from now on? She couldn't talk, this was permanent.
(I've got to do something!) Rachel shouted in her head. She jumped to her feet and ran to get her cell phone.
She tried to at least. Not used to having to hold up her weight with a pair of arms instead of legs, Rachel
stumbled immediately after getting up and she fell to the floor, knocking the box of chocolates down as well.
Rachel looked at the chocolates scattered across her floor with an expression of "Great, it just keeps getting
worse." Then she noticed that a small card had been hidden inside the chocolate box. She picked up the card
and read it.
"Warning: All changes are pseudo-permanent, meaning that they will not wear off over time and can only be
undone by eating other chocolate combinations." Rachel read this and wanted to cry. However, there were three
bullet points on the card.
"- It is safe to eat one or two chocolates at a time, eating more can result in unintended side effects. In
rare cases this could include death. In others, you may wish it included death." (Good to know, but it won't
help me in this case).
"- If a change needs to be undone immediately induce vomiting. All changes within the last hour can be
reversed with this method." For a moment Rachel thought this could be the answer to her problems. But then she
realized that in her current form she wouldn't be able to induce vomiting without some makeshift surgery.
"- If you accidentally remove your mouth you can inject chocolate straight into your veins. This will have the
same effect as eating the chocolates. A syringe should have been included with your box of chocolates for this
situation."
(That's it!) Rachel yelled, or tried to at least. She got the syringe and smushed the melted chocolate that
had previously been placed in her ear-mouth, into the syringe. Then after a moment of hesitation, she jammed
the needle into her arm and injected the chocolate. It stung a lot, and Rachel was afraid she'd done it wrong.
(Is it working? Ugh, the one time being a heroin addict would've helped).
After what felt like 3 years (but was in fact much closer to a mere 20 seconds), Rachel's third ear melted
from her face. Then a small tear appeared and her mouth ripped open before her lips too returned to normal.
"M-maybe I should just eat single chocolates for a little while." Rachel muttered.
