But what a surprise - the letter did not name any species! Instead, Beth and her mum were summoned to the Transformation Centre for a specific day. They would be transformed under a new programme. In order to meet market demand more accuratekly, the government had chosen to let prospective buyers chose the species. Beth and her mum would be health checked and then presented to buyers. Only once they had been auctioned off the buyer woud decide what he would like them transformed into.
Having finished reading the letter, Beth looked at her mum with widened eyes: "So some strangeer gets to decide whether I'll be some nice dog or horse or a smelly pig? This is unfair!". Her mum tried to calm her down: "Don't worry, baby, I'm sure we'll find a nice buyer who gets us to become something you like. Maybe even a pet or zoo animal!" Beth was not entirely satisfied with the answer but understood there was nothing they could do as of now.
At the appointed day both of them drove to the Tranformation Centre. They were ushered into separate rooms and made to undress. A doctor conducted some routine medical check-up and when he was over Beth wanted to put on her clothes again. With a smile, the doctor held her hand: "No need to bother with that young lady. Prospective buyers will of course want to see their potential acquisitions in full. Nobody's gonna buy a cat in the bag as they say. Your clothing will be sent to your relatives, maybe somebody ele can use it. Al you need now is a number, so the buyers now who you are." With that, he put a pink bracelet around shocked Beth's right arm. The bracelet showed a long number by which a buyer could identify her. A little later it was time for the auction. A nurse in a white coat herded Beth and a bunch of other girls, all around her age, into a room adjourning the auction hall. One by one they were led into the ring, while the waiting girls could hear bits of what was said in the ring. Apparently, each girl was presented to buyers, including proposals of what they might be transformed into. Beth was disgusted. They were treated like animalss, even before having become so. Right now a Hispanic looking girl was led into the ring. Beth heard the presenter describe her like a car trader: "Here we have number 1002376. 17 years old, healthy 5.8 feet and 158.4 lbs. You can see her perfect breasts and backside. A very good distribution of fat and very fertile as the tests have shown. She would certainly enrich every pig or cow breeding cacility but one can also easily see her make a nice piece of meat herself." Soon the bidding started and the girl was sold after a heated fight between two potential buyers. Then she was lead to another room to await her buyers verdict on her.
Then it was Beth's turn. She felt blood rush to her head and hardly listened when the voice from above described her bodily features, including her well-toned body and how she was fit for almost every possible use. She was still dazzled when she fetched a sunningly high price and was led to meet the other waiting girls in an adjourning room.
Finally, the auction was over and the buyers came to fetch their new acquisitions. To facilitate this, they were regrouped by buyer. beth found herself in a larger room with a lot of other women and men of all age groups, from 16 to around 40. to her great joy she found her mum and hugged her, naked as she was. "See, all will be fine.", her mum whispered and Beth wanted to believe it more than anything else. Then they were silent when the door opened once more and a Centre assistant finally led the buyer in. They had been sold to a short man in shirt and jeans who could have been everything from farmer to pet shop owner. But the man only briefly looked in, gave a satisfied nod and left, handing a list to a Centre assistant where he had apparently designated what he wished his property to become. Then the assistant began to group several people at a time, possibly by destination animal and led them away, returning alone each time after a short while. Beth and her mum looked at each other when he came for them - at least they were in the same group! But now they were looking forward to see what they would become ...
