Jeff looked down at the greasy eggs and sausage, then back up at Marc. "Uh, I'm a vegetarian. Maybe you could just give me some toast or a bagel or something?"
"Well, I don't have any bread, but I do have something else you might like," Marc said. He took away the plate of food and put it on the counter behind him, then opened the refrigerator and pulled out a jar of pickles.
"Pickles? For breakfast?" Jeff asked, his eyebrow raised.
"Well, it's all I've got. Except ... no, I also have these," he said, grabbing some bananas. "I'm more of a meat guy myself. I don't have much use for fruits and vegetables. But occasionally I eat them. So, what'll it be? Bananas or pickles?"
