“Ah so good to see you all still in the store. My partner and I had feared we would have missed you.”
The male voice bringing the attention of the three humans and yourself to the front of the store.
The elder couple pass nervous glances to each other. “Some one we know?” Steve asks his wife a bit too loudly for what clearly had been planned to be a whisper. Edna making shushing motions walks past her staring son and questioning husband to greet the two visitors.
“Welcome! Welcome to you both! Will you not come join the family for a spot of tea and a cookie or two?”
The visitors blink in surprise at this turn of events. Surly not the greeting they get most times when coming into one of the local shops. “Well…” The male visitor starts casting a side long look to his female companion as if it’s her choice to make perhaps hinting she is the one in charge. “Well we would love too. But first where did you get the cute Border collie?” The female visitor asks bending down to call the dog over to pet it.
It’s when the female visitor bends down that Robin sees the flash of badge and knows the two are part of the Island security team. Doing her best to not give away what she has discovered about the strangers she wonders how best to signal the news to her parents in hopes of warning them. Could they be part of the Alpha group she wonders noting just how well dressed the two strangers seem to be. Both wear long trench coats and dark glasses. Gloves cover the hands leaving only a tiny bit of the face showing as Robin tries to look without seeming to stare.
“This way now you two. This way.” Edna calls to the two strangers trying to lead the pair off into the back room of the shop and away from the Border collie who is wagging her tail happily at all the attention.
