Ty felt really guilty about what happened and looked at the sleeping 3 inch giraffe that was his step brother.
"Dustin will double in size every minute" Ty said quietly to himself. "That way he will back to his normal size in no time." he thought as he closed the door to let Dustin sleep in peace.
Sitting in the living room, Ty waited for the time to pass when Dustin would be normal size again, watching the clock tick by, the rhythmic ticking sounding like a lullaby. It's been a really long and stressful day, and Ty fell asleep in a matter of seconds before the first minute was even up.
1 Minute: Dustin shook in his sleep and grew to be 6 inches tall, looking like someone went thru the trouble of making a really realistic giraffe action figure and putting him on an oversized bed.
2 Minutes: Dustin continued his growth, at 1 foot barely able to reach someone's knee, but that came and went at
3 Minutes: Dustin was 2 feet about the size of a baby, and still growing quickly.
4 Minutes: Dustin was 4 feet tall, looking like a strange giraffe child.
5 Minutes: Dustin grew beyond the height of a man, able to look down on anyone if he had been awake.
6 Minutes: 16 feet tall, the bed snapped beneath him, which wasn't enough to wake Dustin or his sleeping step brother in the other room as the time ticked by.
16 feet turned to 32 feet, 32 to 64, splintering the side wall and roof of his house, the sleeping giant grew. 128 feet, 256 feet, a quarter of a mile, half a mile, a mile tall, streching out of the landscape like a peaceful sleeping giant. Houses and eventually cities and countries getting crushed under the growing mass and Dustin wasn't even doing anything other than rolling in his sleep, growing larger and larger.
30 minutes later, at 50,840 miles tall, Dustin woke up to find himself floating in darkness with stars all around him. He thought he was still asleep and dreaming. A quick shake back to consciousness verified that no he was not dreaming and this was very very real.
"What happened? Did I start shrinking again and down to atomic size?" Dustin thought outloud. With that, a small sphere about the size of a large marble floated by, squinting Dustin could see it was the Earth.
"No way..." With that the Earth dwindled in size again as Dustin started to grow again. "When is this gonna end!?"
But there was no answer and he kept growing bigger and bigger and bigger, stars starting to dwindle into nothingness out of the view of the mega giraffe.

A few hours larger Ty awoke, groggy. "Oh! DUSTIN! I was supposed to stop his growth!"
Ty rushed into the other room to find the wall broken, taking part of the roof with it, letting the cold night air in. Wait, night. How long was Ty asleep and how big did Dustin get?

Out in the farthest reaches of space, Dustin looked down on the entire universe, a single speck, smaller than width of a strand of fur to the colossus.
