Charlie entered the store, tasked with finding a new game for he and his friends to play over the holiday break. Charlie and several of
his closest friends lived too far away to head home for the break, and were thus had to find something to do while the campus was
shut down for the weekend.
Charlie happened upon an old looking board game called "Pair Off!" The box art showed pictures of pairs of cartoon animals walking
down a windy road. Charlie, being a bit impatient, figured this would be good enough to entertain the group for the weekend. He
approached the cash register and paid the creepy old man his due.

On Friday night, Charlie and his friends gathered in their dorm's common room to play the game.
"It says here that we have to pair off; each group of two plays together and completes sets of challenges within a time limit to
advance. The first team to reach the end wins. If a team can't complete a challenge under the provided time limit, will not advance
until the challenge is completed" explained Charlie.
"Let's pair off guys and girls to make things a bit more interesting!" offered Charlie's athletic buddy Danny.
"Ugh, like we all don't know where this is going," remarked Darcy, a pretty, but somewhat stuck up, brunette.
The co-eds quickly paired off: Danny with Tira, a bubby political science major, Darcy with Peter, a self-styled lothario, and John with
Hanna, both overachieving economics majors. This left Charlie with Caroline, a beautiful and athletic brunette. Secretly, Charlie had
planned the pairings ahead of time with the other guys in order to pair himself off with Caroline, his longtime crush .
"Guess that leaves us!" remarked Caroline with a warm smile, she secretly had a thing for Charlie too, and was happy with how the
night was turning out.
"So," began John, "who goes first?"
