Terry's morning session with Tim was delightful as it always was, but afterwards the rabbit-girl felt a faint, nagging feeling of incompleteness. She didn't have the normal urge to go eat some lettuce, have a drink of water, empty her bowels and bladder, and clean herself up a bit for the next buck. Instead, she remembered how she had enjoyed her conversation with Wally nearly as much as the physical encounter. Just talking had brought back fond memories of interviewing people for his documentaries. After thanking Tim and complimenting him on his prowess in her usual fashion, and receiving thanks and compliments in return, she hesitantly began "What made you decide to be a rabbit-boy?"

Unlike the transformation chambers, the regen chambers are designed to handle multiple subjects at once. So Goldie and Sam were restored to full health at the same moment, side-by-side. In the next instant, the two were in each other's arms babbling their joy in being alive and with each other. Goldie found a tremendous liberation in no longer having to deny or suppress or lie to herself about her feelings for Sam. She was a female husky romantically, and, yes, sexually interested in a male husky. Simple as that.
Zack gave the two a couple of minutes together. He had just come from chewing out the twins over letting the two rookies go out alone. Sometimes the twins reluctance to be separated from each other led them to make poor decisions. It felt weird reprimanding his girlfriends in that way, but Zack knew that Harry had enough on his shoulders right now and as the assistant pack leader, maintaining discipline was part of his responsibilities. The next part of his job was going to be much more pleasant.
"Attention, huskies!" barked Zack. "Congratulations on your capture of this dangerous criminal! Commendations are being placed in both your files, and after you give your statements to the FBI, you have the rest of the day off! Goldie, I don't want to see you today, is that clear?"
"Sir, perfectly clear, sir!" Goldie was for the first time in the whole time Zack had known her, wagging her tail energetically.
"Then, tomorrow, your training in hand-to-hand combat begins!"
And Goldie's tail wagged even harder.

Max screamed as the transformation chamber ruthlessly stripped away his claws and teeth. The deadly wolverine stood revealed as a flabby, nebbishy, middle-aged human male.
"Yep, that's him" stated Agent Johnson.

"OK" said Agent Sherman, after spending a couple of hours getting statements from Susan, Zack, Goldie and Sam, "If you're still working on getting my body information back" he didn't want to think about what would happen if they couldn't "Can you at least make me a female skunkmorph?"

Susan felt great to be alive, healed, and in a human body again. She never wanted to see another anthromorph again in her life. Though she would probably have to, she thought, when she sued these creeps for letting this happen to her.

Someone else whose feelings about being back in a human body were more ambivalent was Wendy. Undoubtedly, that had been one of the greatest, and weirdest, experiences of her life. She really felt she had more of a handle on male sexuality now, but the rabbit culture was really something else. She was looking forward to going back--maybe she could check out life as a rabbit-girl next time?--but she was also concerned about the long-term effects on Terry. From talking to Katerina, it seemed that she was able to flip back and forth between her rabbit and human life pretty easily, despite the vast differences between them, but Katerina seemed like a very strong-willed person generally. Was Terry that strong?

Charlotte raised an eyebrow. "What's the alternative? This place is crawling with security, we can't fight our way out, and I don't relish the idea of trying to escape from a house called 'The Labyrinth' anyway. They were careful to remove anything that looks like communications equipment so there's nothing to try to hack. Sooner or later someone's going to come here asking for us, and they he'll have to let us go. Or maybe they'll slip up and give us an opportunity." Not that that was too likely, she thought. She was impressed by the professionalism of the Minotaur's security staff.
